Learning on Country at Notch Peak

Our junior boys enjoyed an incredible day Learning on Country at Notch Peak. The day focused on teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience through a mix of physical challenges, bushcraft, and cooperative games. Highlights included building functional bush shelters using natural materials, competing in a high-energy tug-of-war, and finishing the day with a safe, supervised swim in a local creek—reinforcing important Crocwise messages.

This hands-on day supported key learning including Science (forces and materials), Technology (design and evaluation), and Geography (land use and environmental awareness). Students showcased their learning through a gallery walk, discussing construction choices, shelter stability, and the properties of local fibres.
